Who we are
The Escondido Democratic Club (EDC) is an organization of local citizens united by common goals: to defend progress, fairness, and grassroots power in Escondido. We offer a collective voice to the middle and working classes in our community, and we’re committed to building a more inclusive, equitable and thriving Escondido through organized, coordinated action.
Our purpose is to give a voice to our members and our community, and to help elect members of local, county and state government who represent the interests of all of our residents—not the special interests of their campaign donors.
Mission
To unite Escondido Democrats in promoting progressive values, supporting Democratic campaigns and candidates, and advocating policies that benefit all members of our community. We create space for active participation in the democratic process—from City Hall to Congress.

We imagine an Escondido where voters—not special interests—shape our future. Through local organizing, education, political engagement and bold leadership, we’re building a community where democracy works for everyone.

What We Do
Support Campaigns: We endorse, fundraise for, and campaign for Democrats and progressives and issues that reflect our values—especially in local races that impact our daily lives.
Educate & Engage: We host forums, panels, and events to help our members stay informed, prepared, and inspired.
Take Action: Whether it’s rallying, canvassing, phone banking, or testifying at City Council, we show up to fight for what’s right.
Involve the Community: A democracy requires the involvement of its citizens. We support each other, celebrate wins, and have fun along the way.
