2020 is an important election year, nationally and locally. Join the EDC to support local Democratic candidates and register voters. Come to our monthly meetings (second Saturday of each month), join our email list, and check out our social media to stay informed. Membership is only $25, so join now! And join us at our monthly meetings, for guest speakers and information on local issues and candidates: second Saturday of every month, 10am to noon, Park Avenue Community Center.

August 8 EDC Membership Meeting

Save the date: Saturday August 8, 10:30 am, for our monthly EDC Membership meeting.

We will be voting on changes to our Standing Rules for Endorsements and then endorsing in the following races:
-San Diego County Board of Supervisors, District 3
-Palomar Health Board, District 6

Members should have received an email with the proposed Rules for Endorsements changes. If you are a member and did not get that email, please let us know (

May 6 City Council Vote on Vacant District 2 Seat

The Escondido City Council was unable to come to an agreement May 6 on appointing someone to fill the vacant District 2 City Council seat. The seat will remain vacant until the November 2020 election. This summer the EDC will hold its usual endorsement process, inviting all Democratic candidates to speak to our membership, and then holding a membership endorsement vote.
