June 2010 Ballot Propositions

Following are the propositions scheduled to appear on the June 2010 ballot.

Proposition 13 – Constitutional Amendment (EDC Recommends YES vote) PASSED
Property tax: new construction exclusion for seismic retrofitting.

Proposition 14 – Constitutional Amendment (EDC Recommends NO vote) PASSED
Establishes open primaries.

Proposition 15 - Statute (EDC Recommends YES vote) FAILED
Public funding of some elections.

Proposition 16 – Initiative Constitutional Amendment (EDC Recommends NO vote) FAILED
New two-thirds requirement for local public electricity providers.

Proposition 17 – Initiative Statute (EDC Recommends NO vote) FAILED
Allows auto insurance companies to base their prices in part on driver’s history of insurance coverage.
