Must read: Wealthy right-wingers finance anti-Dem effort

by Francine Busby

For so many of us who worked to get Obama elected, it is difficult to watch his enemies tearing at all his programs and initiatives and creating divsiveness and hatred at every turn.

This article from the New Yorker is a must read because it explains the billions of dollars that have gone into this effort by the Koch brothers. It is a gut-wrenching expose of these far-right brothers who have built an empire of research institutes, non-profits and grassroots organizations that have undermined truth, environmental progress and the well-being of hard-working Amerincas at every turn in support of their twisted ideology and greed.

Please take the time to read it and share it. Here is the link:
“Covert Operation: The Billionaire Brothers Who Are Waging War Against Obama”

One reason that it is so important for us here is that their Americans for Prosperity Group is the same group that kicked on Brian Bilbray’s campaign on August 12 in Solana Beach. In addition to all the information in this article, they are also conncected to Tobacco. As you know, Bilbray also started the Congressional Cigar Association as a front for the Tobacco industry to access Congressional staffers. He also voted in favor of Tobaaco’s legislative priority when he voted against extending the SChip program for Children’s Healthc are to our most vulnerable children.

Please share this message with all those who worked so hard to elect Barack Obama. Although we can’t match the Koch Brothers billions, we can at least fight their influence here in our district by defeating their candidate. As you’ll see in the article, they are putting $45 million into races across the country through their Americans for Prosperity organization.
