Carmen Miranda and Jason Everitt, EDC members and candidates for Escondido City Council, received the San Diego County Democratic Party endorsement August 17. Also endorsed was Paul “Mac” McNamara, EDC President, a candidate for Palomar College Trustee.  Other candidates in races across North County were also endorsed.

The candidates were recommended for endorsement by members of the North Area Central Committee who met in San Marcos August 14. The process allows regional Party members who are more familiar with candidates for local office to make recommendations to the County Central Committee.

The North Area recommendations were submitted to the Central Committee at its August meeting. Once approved, endorsed candidates are included on County Party slate mailers, website voter recommendations and other communications in the get-out-the-vote effort.
