On Wednesday, February 17, a four-member EDC group joined 15 others at a Progressive Democrats of America sponsored meeting at Congressman Brian Bilbray’s 50th District office in Solana Beach.

The event, titled “Healthcare Not Warfare” was attended by Nova Morgan (at left, holding large sign), Andrea Seavey, and Joanna Welch (in plaid shirt). Also participating was Michelle Ann Mareck (not shown.) EDC member Tracy Emblem, a candidate to replace Bilbray, and her husband Thor also participated.

Martha Sullivan, who has been the primary organizer of these third-Wednesday monthly brown-bags, presented a  letter — which all participants signed – to Congressman Bilbray’s staff. (The staffers expressed surprise at the knowledgeable questions asked by the group.) Another brown-bagger is scheduled at that office for Wednesday, March 17th.
