Hampton is a veteran health care activist and has served as health director of the League of Women Voters of San Diego County.
Paul Friedman M.D. will discuss California’s prospects for single-payer health care. SB810 is in the legislature and, if passed, could bring reform to California. Dr. Friedman is a professor of radiology at UCSD. He is an expert on research integrity and ethics. He has studied European health care systems, supports single-payer approaches and accepts the need to change the current American system.
