The coal and oil industries are pouring in millions of dollars to kill the bill.  Their tactics know no bounds. They misrepresent the cost of the bill to the taxpayer, and further scare the public about loss of jobs if the bill is passed.  One of their amendments to the bill is designed to strip the EPA’s authority to regulate warming pollution.
