With the August recess over and the battle to shape health care reform in full force, EDC welcomes the North County health care coordinator of Organizing for America (the successor to Obama for America), Dave Roberts, to its September 12 meeting. Roberts has held a variety of positions in the healthcare industry, has worked on Capitol Hill and serves as a councilman for Solana Beach.

The meeting is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12 at the Escondido Public Library, 239 S. Kalmia St. Admission is open to everyone free of charge. Free parking is available on site. Light refreshments will be served.

This follow up on health care reform continues a discussion at EDC’s April 2009 meeting, where experts set the stage for the coming debate and discussed the context of health care reform efforts.
