August 13 meeting: Wastewater — Escondido’s Unseen Challenge
7 p.m. Thursday, August 13
Joslyn Senior Center
The August meeting of the Escondido Democratic Club continues the group’s discussion of water issues with a presentation titled “Wastewater – Escondido’s Unseen Challenge.” Speakers are Lori Vereker, Escondido Director of Utilities, and Kevin Barnard, former Executive Director of the Escondido Creek Conservancy.
The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 13 at the Joslyn Senior Center, 210 Park Ave. in Escondido. Admission is open to everyone free of charge. Free parking is available on site. Light refreshments will be served.
The wastewater discussion follows the July presentation, “The Importance of Water in Regional Planning” by Kelley Gage of the San Diego County Water Authority. EDC has scheduled the two programs to learn more about key issues affecting the revision of Escondido’s General Plan, which is the topic of the September meeting.
