Candidates Tracy Emblem, Francine Busby and Richard Barron used the EDC booth as their base of operations for the event. Voter registration efforts produced 29 Democrats nine decline-to-states and three Republicans. Flyers were distributed to promote the Club’s campaign for “wish list” book donations to the struggling Escondido Public Library. Many contacts were made to promote membership and involvement in your Club. And dozens of buttons and bumper stickers with progressive messages were sold during the event.

Dan Buse coordinated the volunteers who helped set up, staff and tear down the booth. Thanks to Chris Nava, Dollie McQuiston, Kathryn van Vechten, Tracy and Thor Emblem and Rick Bova, as well as the voter registration folks — coordinated by Jack Robertson from the County Party — Noel Steiner, Allison Marks, Christine Sugg, Thomas Amacker, Miki Davis, Yasmin Holcomb, Lorin Nails-Smoote and Janet Nielsen.
