Gregory Canyon Landfill Hearing Set
For those members who are watching the Gregory Canyon Landfill process, the Regional Water Quality Control Board has scheduled a hearing on the environmental impact report for the proposal from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 in the City of Escondido Council Chambers.

The proposed landfill is located on a 1,700-acre site approximately three miles east of I-15 and two miles southwest of Pala, adjacent to the San Luis Rey River along the western slope of Gregory Mountain. See map here.
Conservation groups, Native Americans and local residents have opposed the measure. A judge ordered an early environmental impact report be redone, and this hearing allows public comment on the revised report.
